After I opened my gym in January of 2020, learned that my neighboring gym owner of the same franchise had won Best Boot Camp On Long Island for 2 years straight. At the time, I didn’t even know there was such a thing. By the time I realized it, it was too late to get nominated for 2021. I’d have to wait for the 2022 nominations. It was then, I decided I was going to take the title of Best Boot Camp On Long Island from my friend and mentor. 2022 was going to be my year. It was no surprise that he won for 2021, 3-peat. When the nomination process opened for 2022, I was all over it. My admin and I made sure to remind all our members to nominate us for Best Boot Camp. Nominations can be done every day. We needed all our members to be vigilant and nominate us every day. It worked. We were among approximately 30 gyms that were nominated for Best Boot Camp On Long Island. Step 1, Done!

Now the work began. In October 2021, the voting began but for some reason, I got lazy. I didn’t announce it to my members for a full week after the voting was open. I finally put together procedures for all the members to follow and vote. They can vote every day. I met with my coaches to plan it out. All the coaches would remind the members to vote every day. We need to let everyone know that we ARE the Best Boot Camp On Long Island and being voted would just validate us. I needed my coaches and every member to believe it and have it in their minds all the time. It wasn’t easy. I even I forgot to vote a couple of times. I posted on my personal FB page to have all my FB friends to vote. I hired my friend and mentor, Dustin, earlier in the year to do my sales and lead follow up and I asked him to engage his team to help in the voting process.

I didn’t know if the members were actually voting but most of them said they were. I trusted them. Still, I felt like I wasn’t doing enough. What else I could to do to ensure that I would be the voting?

I was driving into the studio early Saturday morning, and I was wondering what else I could do. Halfway to the studio, it came to me. I got it! EUREKA!

Within minutes of arriving at the studio, I was on the computer. 10 minutes later, I was the proud owner of the following websites.

After each session of the day, I announced to the members what I had done. One of my coaches said, “Are you serious? That is savage!”. All the members had a good laugh as I told them I owned all the websites. I reminded them that we were the best. We just need to be voted the best. That’s all.

When you really want to manifest something, I truly believe you must behave as if you already have it. I walked and talked like we already won. I owned the websites. After each session, we chanted “BEST BOOT CAMP!”. I told everyone we ARE the best. They believed it and so did I. I knew it was just a matter of time. I also, knew there was doubt in the minds of my members. I really went out on a limb to buy those websites and talk up the fact that we were going to win. I must admit, there were times I thought, “What if we don’t win?”. The possibility was there but I decided that not to allow it to enter my mind. We were the Best and we were going to win!

3 months of voting ended on December 15^th, 2021. Now the waiting. The winner would be announced in January. For the next 3 weeks, I had forgotten about it until one of my coaches texted me asking, “Did we win? The results were out.” I went to my email and had to scroll down because I had missed it initially. I clicked the email and read through it. I had to read it several times because I couldn’t believe it. WE WON! I was speechless. I knew we were going to win but when it happened, I didn’t know what to do. It was Friday night. I decided I would wait until Monday morning to announce it.

After each session, I read the quote, “If you can see it in your mind, you can hold it in your hands!” and announced that we had one Best Boot Camp On Long Island. The members went crazy because they knew I was crazy. I talked a big game, talked the talk and walked the walk before the results were out.

Was I crazy? All I wanted was to win Best Boot Camp On Long Island and I did what I had to to win fair and square. The win was for all of us, the members, and the coaches too.

The lesson here is that whatever the goal is, you first must believe it’s possible. After that, manifesting is a matter of keeping the result in your mind always. When you keep a goal persistently in your mind, the universe will bring you the people, places and the material means necessary to achieve it.
